Lightning during the Winter Season.|
According to the HKO website's warning database, since 1967 where the database record for the Lightning Warning was stored, we could see
that the Lightning Warning are issued generally during the period from March to October during the year. Lightning Warnings are rarely issued during the months of November, December, January and February.
Therefore, we can somewhat conclude that lightning during the winter months is rather rare. Does anyone know why this is so? And why does
lightning become so active starting from spring into the summer period?
